Founded in 1979 by Richard Laughery, Linthicum-Ferndale Auto Body became a landmark in Ferndale, Maryland, for years before moving to its present location at 703 Nursery Road. Our customers followed us to this new location, and the business grew along with its community.

Although we've been in business for over four decades, you're still likely to find Mr. Rick (or "Pop," as we like to call him) working underneath a bus or a truck! Passion is universal to our team, from our owner to our staff. Pop's hardworking attitude and no-quit philosophy has been passed along to every Linthicum-Ferndale Truck Repair employee, from Michael and Jennifer to every technician. That means we are constantly looking for ways to improve our shop, our knowledge, and our commitment to our customers.

We're proud to be a second-generation, family-owned and operated company. We strive to provide value and trust to the Linthicum and Ferndale communities and take this mindset into each and every repair we do. Working with our family means we create an environment where the customer feels welcome and confident in our work.
After first working on standard auto repairs and then later emergency vehicles and trucks, we transitioned to a full truck shop after the move to the new location. Soon, we gained a reputation for quality repairs to fleet vehicles, bus and transit vehicles, and all the heavy-duty equipment you see on the roads. In January 2016, Richard's son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Jennifer, took over ownership and day-to-day operations. The sense of ownership and commitment from each generation of the Laughery family is what keeps our business unique.
